Don Q's most experimental release finishes rum in vermouth barrels — specifically Mancino Vecchio casks, the sweet vermouth brand founded by Giancarlo Mancino (the same bartender behind Rinomato). The base rum ages 5 to 8 years in American white oak, then rests an additional 4 to 6 weeks in those Italian oak vermouth casks, picking up genuinely unusual herbal, wine-like character you won't find in any other rum on the market.
