Weekend Lineup｜Arran 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky｜ Other Products

The 10 Year is Arran's flagship and the bottle most people meet the distillery through — the whisky that established Lochranza's reputation after it became the first legal distillery on the Isle of Arran in over 150 years. It's matured primarily in ex-bourbon barrels with a proportion of sherry hogsheads, bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered with no added color, a presentation standard Arran has held to across its entire range while plenty of bigger names dilute to 40% and filter. That matters here, because the house spirit is unpeated, bright, and fruit-driven — an island malt that drinks closer to a Speysider, with real texture that chill filtration would strip. Expect a light gold pour with vanilla, honey, citrus, and orchard fruit on the nose — poached pear, yellow apple, lemon — alongside coconut, cream, and a faint hint of salty island air. The palate is sweet and lively with tropical fruit, cinnamon, and a peppery Arran spice prickle, finishing medium with oak, ginger, and citrus zest. Widely regarded as one of the best-value age-stated single malts in Scotland, and the natural starting point before the cask finishes, The Bothy, or the older core releases.
