Ragnaud-Sabourin Réserve Spéciale No. 20 Grande Champagne Cognac is a 20-year-old cognac from the Ragnaud-Sabourin family estate in Ambleville, in the heart of Grande Champagne, the premier cru of Cognac. The family grows, distills, ages and bottles everything themselves. This blend is primarily Ugni Blanc with a touch of the rare Folle Blanche grape, aged twenty years in cask and bottled at 43% ABV.The nose offers preserved citrus, toasted hazelnut and nougat. The slightly elevated strength enhances the creamy, dried-fruit flavors on the palate, while almond and spice linger through a long, satisfying finish. It is a superb expression of Grande Champagne, rich in depth and elegance, and drinks best neat in a tulip glass. This 750ml bottle is a rare chance to buy age-stated, estate-bottled Grande Champagne at a fair price.
