"The 6th 7" in our latest round of Numero Classics cover series. This one is a Split 45 straight from the Heavens above. Leon Bridges effortlessly transforms Pastor T.L. Barrett's iconic 'Like A Ship,' updating the gospel soul classic with a southern soul twist. Austin's beloved soul and R&B sensation, Leon Bridges, has been making waves far beyond the confines of the Texas music scene, steadily gaining recognition as a household name. A collaboration with the talented neo-soul artist Keite Young from Fort Worth, is a soul-stirring marvel. 'Like A Ship' is a heartfelt return to gospel roots for both Bridges and Young. Young leads a stirring gospel choir that forms the soulful backbone of the song, complemented by Bridges' velvety vocals. The track culminates in a captivating organ solo, evoking the spirit of a joyous Sunday service." - Numero Group
