"Sicily" locale Isopods (Armadillo officinalis)｜ Other Products

The Armadillo officinalis "Sicily" locale isopods are a unique and fascinating species of terrestrial isopod, originating from the Mediterranean region, specifically the island of Sicily. Known for their distinct, rounded shape, these isopods curl up into a tight ball (similar to an armadillo) when disturbed, providing an additional layer of protection from predators.
This species is larger than many common isopods, typically growing up to 2 cm in length. Their hardy nature and preference for moderately moist environments make them a popular choice for bioactive terrariums or as standalone pets. With their slightly domed, smooth, and glossy appearance, they stand out in any clean-up crew or display setup.
