Taylor 714ce Next Generation Acoustic Electric w/Case
Grand Auditorium warmth with cedar response, rosewood depth and Claria electronics
Overview
The Taylor 714ce Next Generation Acoustic Electric Guitar brings the classic cedar and rosewood tonewood pairing back into Taylor’s standard lineup with a warm, expressive Grand Auditorium voice. A Western Red cedar top gives the guitar a mellow, touch-sensitive response, while Indian rosewood back and sides add rich overtones, clear trebles and deep, throaty lows. With Scalloped V-Class bracing, Taylor’s long-tenon Action Control Neck and the Claria Acoustic Pickup System, this 714ce is built for players who want warmth, nuance, easy playability and adaptable amplified tone.
Features
The Western Red cedar top is ideal for players who value warmth, immediacy and a responsive feel under the fingers. Paired with Indian rosewood back and sides, the 714ce produces a lush, balanced sound with blooming overtones, round character and enough clarity to suit both fingerstyle and strumming. The Grand Auditorium body shape keeps the guitar versatile, offering a comfortable feel and an all-purpose voice that works well for writing, recording and live performance.
Taylor’s Scalloped V-Class bracing with relief rout helps increase volume, sustain and open-string resonance while adding warmth to the guitar’s response. The Next Generation design also includes the Action Control Neck, which uses a long-tenon neck joint for enhanced resonance and a patented adjustment system that makes it easier to fine-tune string height for the player’s preferred feel.
For plugged-in performance, the Claria Acoustic Pickup System provides rich, adaptable amplified tone for stage use. The Venetian cutaway gives the guitar smooth upper-fret access, while refined appointments such as white body binding, green abalone rosette with black and white accents, Reflections inlays, gold tuning machines and a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard give the instrument a polished 700 Series look. A deluxe hardshell case is included for proper protection.
