Taylor NOS Academy 12eAcoustic Electric

Comfort-focused Grand Concert playability with responsive Taylor tone and exceptional NOS value

The Taylor NOS Academy 12e Acoustic Electric is built to make playing feel easier, more comfortable, and more rewarding from the very first chord. With its compact Grand Concert body, solid Sitka spruce top, layered sapele back and sides, and player-friendly Taylor design, this model offers a clear, responsive acoustic voice in an approachable package that suits newer players, fingerpickers, and anyone who prefers the feel of a smaller-bodied guitar. As a Taylor NOS model, it offers an excellent opportunity to own a premium Taylor Acoustic Electric at a lower price while still enjoying dependable craftsmanship and long-term value.

Taylor's Academy Series is designed around comfort, and the 12e reflects that with a shorter 24-7/8" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width, low action, light-gauge strings, and Taylor's patented slim-profile neck. The built-in armrest helps reduce fatigue for the picking arm, while the updated ES-B pickup and preamp system with built-in digital chromatic tuner gives players easy plug-in convenience for practice, performance, and recording.

Comfortable Taylor design for easier playing
The Grand Concert body shape keeps this model compact and accommodating, making it especially appealing for fingerpicking, lighter touch players, and anyone who values physical comfort during longer sessions. Taylor's slim-profile neck, shorter scale length, and easy string feel all work together to create a relaxed, inviting playing experience.

Responsive tone with solid Sitka spruce clarity
A solid Sitka spruce top gives the Academy 12e a broad dynamic range with clear projection and balanced musicality, while layered sapele back and sides add durability and help keep the instrument approachable and dependable for everyday use. Taylor also voiced this model to be especially responsive, helping it feel lively and rewarding even with a lighter touch.

Stage-ready convenience with practical features
The updated ES-B electronics system provides dependable amplified sound and includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner for quick tuning adjustments. The ergonomic armrest and sturdy lightweight gig bag add even more everyday practicality, giving players a guitar that feels easy to live with whether at home, in lessons, or on the move.

Why choose the Taylor NOS Academy 12e
This model is an excellent choice for players who want compact Grand Concert comfort, clear Taylor tone, and easy-playing design features in a dependable Acoustic Electric. Its responsive feel, thoughtful comfort details, and NOS pricing make it a smart way to step into a premium Taylor for less.
