Old Overholt Bonded Rye Whiskey is the 100 proof, bottled-in-bond version of America's oldest continuously produced whiskey brand, founded by Abraham Overholt in West Overton, Pennsylvania in 1810 and now made by Beam Suntory at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. Released as a permanent addition to the line, it brought Old Overholt back to the strength it was famous for in the pre-Prohibition era.Bottled in bond means the whiskey is the product of one distillery and one distilling season, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottled at exactly 100 proof, the standard the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act set to guarantee quality. Old Overholt Bonded delivers rye grain, black pepper and baking spice with vanilla, light caramel, graham cracker and Beam's characteristic peanut note in the finish. The extra proof over the standard 86 proof bottling makes it the better choice for a Sazerac or a Manhattan, where it holds its own against absinthe, vermouth and bitters. A historic name at a bar-friendly price.Buy Old Overholt Bonded Rye Whiskey online with fast shipping right to your door.
