A Moment of Inspiration｜ Other Products ｜The Reveries "The Raven" Bourbon Whiskey

Raven was The Reveries' first-ever blended release, the whiskey that launched Jay West's (T8ke's) broader whiskey project back in 2025 — and the name is a deliberate nod to Edgar Allan Poe, part of a wider "Rare Release" series built around literary and mythological figures that have haunted the imagination for centuries. Unlike The Reveries' single barrel picks, Raven is a genuine blend: past batches have combined roughly 9, 10, and 14-year-old bourbons sourced from both Kentucky and Indiana distillers, with the exact proportions shifting release to release (one detailed breakdown of an early batch found it split roughly 48% 10-year Kentucky, 27% and 14% two different 9-year Indiana stocks, and 11% 14-year Kentucky). Because the blend composition can vary by batch, expect some variation in character bottle to bottle, though the house style stays big, punchy, and proofy: caramel, apple butter, cola, and blackberry meeting tart mango and candied ginger on the nose, moving into a thick, rich palate of caramel, praline, root beer, tobacco, and barrel char, finishing long with maple, pipe tobacco, and a final crack of spice. Genuinely limited, small-batch, and built for drinkers who want serious intensity.
