Green River Honey Finish is the Owensboro distillery's straight bourbon aged with real local honey added to the barrel — not a liqueur, not a flavoring — bottled at 92 proof. Green River is DSP-KY-10, the tenth license in Kentucky, built by J.W. McCulloch in 1885 on the Ohio River, rebuilt in 2014, first new barrels in 2016 under master distiller Jacob Call, and bought by Bardstown Bourbon Company in 2022. The Honey Finish takes four-plus-year Kentucky straight bourbon and finishes it with a custom blend of locally sourced, seasonally selected 100% real honey added directly to the barrels, then bottles at 92 proof — a few points above the flagship.
