Description: Viuda de Martínez Reposado Tequila is a distinguished expression from the historic Viuda de Martínez distillery, established in 1840 in El Arenal, Jalisco. Crafted from 100% blue Weber agave, this tequila undergoes traditional production methods, including cooking in stone/brick ovens and open-air fermentation in stainless steel tanks. It is double-distilled in stainless steel pots with copper coils and aged in American white oak and used whisky barrels, resulting in a refined spirit with a 40% ABV.
On the nose, Viuda de Martínez Reposado offers a bouquet of fruity and floral aromas, featuring notes of cherry, dark berries, and ripe orchard fruits. The palate follows with a harmonious blend of these fruit flavors, complemented by mellow vanilla, marzipan undertones, and a touch of salinity. A gentle pepper and spice "pop" adds complexity, leading to a smooth and enjoyable finish.
This tequila's balanced profile makes it ideal for sipping neat, allowing enthusiasts to appreciate its intricate flavors. Its versatility also lends itself well to classic cocktails like the Margarita or Paloma, where it can add depth and character.
