Cuphea ‘Diana’ is a bright, hardworking cigar plant with masses of small magenta-pink flowers and a tidy, landscape-friendly habit. Beautiful enough for containers and tough enough for garden beds, this evergreen cuphea brings long-season color without asking for much in return.
Growing as a high groundcover or compact shrub, ‘Diana’ is excellent in sunny to part-shade borders, hanging baskets, patio pots, and low-maintenance plantings where continuous bloom is welcome. Bees love the tiny flowers, and the dense foliage creates a polished look that makes this variety especially useful for edging, massing, or softening pathways. Its color pairs beautifully with salvias, grasses, lantana, yarrow, and other heat-loving companions.
Plant Cuphea ‘Diana’ in sun to part shade with well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought tolerant, not fussy about soil, and usually unbothered by pests or disease. Give occasional water for the freshest growth and heaviest flowering. Colorful, durable, and easy, this cuphea is a landscaper’s favorite for good reason.
