Soul Jazz Records: 100% Dynamite! - Soul, Ska, Rocksteady & Funk In Jamaica Vinyl 2LP｜ Other Products

100% reggae radness! The compilation that started it all, one of Soul Jazz Records' biggest selling releases of all time, and all around badass listening. 100% Dynamite compiles Reggae, JA Soul / Funk, and Ska rarities from some of the greats and some of the lesser known but well respected. The compilation showcases the inspiration taken from the American side of music and how it affected those on the island. There are covers of classics like Marlena Shaw’s ‘Woman of the Ghetto’, Aretha Franklin’s ‘Rocksteady’, Syl Johnson’s ‘Is It Because I’m Black’, William DeVaughan’s seminal ‘Be Thankful’ and more as well as OG revolutionary tunes. This is flava central, hands down one of the best comps to own for any music head that has a soul.
