Vectran has an enormous tear resistance at a very low weight: Exactly the right properties to process into a premium Continental bicycle tyre, such as the Grand Prix 5000 as a puncture protection insert. A Vectran Breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than the comparable nylon breaker. Vectran Breaker does not adversely affect the rolling resistance.Fit the GP 4Season or Top Contact for the ultimate 'under the tread' Vectran protection as they both feature 2 x Vectran layers. The lazered micro profile structure expands over the tyre’s shoulder and provides outstanding cornering. Giving the look of a fully grooved tread pattern yet providing more surface area of tread to grip the road, Lazer Grip marks a new standard in tread pattern technology. The special etching of the lazer into the rubber also gives a more professional and clean finish to the tread surface.    The revolutionary approach in cycling. Embedded in the tyre construction the Active Comfort Technology absorbs vibrations and smoothens your ride. Below the outer BlackChili tread surface, the Active Comfort elastomer controls damping more efficiently.Coupled with the appropriate tyre pressure, Active Comfort absorbs more of the vibrations from the road surfaceThis means the tyre can deform more efficiently which also improves grip, puncture protection and speed!
