Fan Favorite｜SOUND CITY STUDIO 20 (aka Elpico AC88)｜ Other Products

This amp is part of a superb collection of early British valve amps that we are selling on consignment for a customer. He has been collecting amps for over 30 years and his description of the amp is below. Click on the photos to zoom in and see many more detailed and internal shots.
He says:
Sought after recording amp from the mid 60's Dallas Arbiter phase of Sound City. Great little valve amp - perfect for high gain solos in small spaces. Completely original except for the plastic side grilles which are replicas. I original side grille included separately. Step up transformer required for US use.
We say:
We've come across this amp a couple of times in its "Elpico AC88" guise and both we and the customers who bought them have been very impressed by what is a fairly unassuming looking little box. Bags of tone and character for your money - definitely an amp that would go for a lot more if it had a Vox or Marshall badge.
