A Fresh Detail｜GPS Audi 3.0T Gen 1 Thermostat housing｜ Other Products

Replaces 06E121111AL - OEM Audi 3.0T Thermostat

VERSION 2 IS HERE: We made 2 big changes to farther improve the CNC Machined Housing. The first big change was to correct the overcooling issue that some customers (particularly in colder climates) were experiencing. If you purchase one of the original version 1 thermostat housings, please reach out to me and i will ship you a retrofit kit free of charge. The second big change was moving the assembly screws to the outside of the o-ring grove. That thoroughly ensures the screw cannot drop into the engine block if it were to ever come lose.

The GPS billet aluminum Audi 3.0T Thermostat housing is a game-changer in engine performance and reliability. Say goodbye to the dreaded plastic thermostat housing and hello to a more dependable ride with our CNC machined, aluminum anodized thermostat.

Inspired by shopdap.com's list of Common Issues with 3.0T (Supercharged) TFSI Audi Engines.

Superior Aluminum Housing

Our aluminum housing is designed to overcome two key flaws of the OEM plastic thermostat. The plastic tabs of the OEM thermostat are prone to breaking, causing the thermostat to fail closed, which can result in engine overheating and significant damage. Our 6061-T6 aluminum housing completely removes those tabs, significantly reducing the risk of thermostat failure. Additionally, aluminum can naturally withstand high temperature heat cycles for longer periods than plastic, making our thermostat more durable and reliable.

Optimized for Engine Performance

Our thermostat is designed to open at 85C, just like the OEM thermostat, ensuring optimal engine performance. For those seeking a "racing thermostat," our assembly seamlessly accommodates the Mishimoto racing thermostat.

Easy to Rebuild

Our product is 100% re-buildable, making it easy to replace lower temperature "racing" thermostats without sacrificing the benefits of the aluminum housing.

Cuts Maintenance Costs

Investing in our Audi 3.0T Thermostat saves you money on recurring maintenance costs. With our product, you won't need to replace a broken thermostat housing again.

3-Year Warranty

Due to our confidence in this product, we are happy to offer a 3-year warranty. This product has been 100% tested in-house on our own S4 with exceptional results.

What's in the kit?

This kit comes with a fully assembled aluminum thermostat housing which includes the housing, thermostat, O-rings, and a cross-over coolant pipe bolt.
