A Moment of Discovery｜ Other Products ｜Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Bourbon SDBB #6

This is the San Diego Barrel Boys' sixth Knob Creek pick — barreled January 31, 2013, selected July 29, 2022, from Warehouse K, floor six, rick four — nine and a half years old at 120 proof, with an engraved plate on the bottle. Booker Noe created Knob Creek in 1992 as the first of Beam's Small Batch Collection, and the Single Barrel Select program lets clubs and retailers taste through barrels at Clermont and pick one; Beam prints the barrel's exact age and warehouse location so you know where your bourbon slept. SDBB #6 is Beam's traditional mashbill — roughly 75% corn, 13% rye, 12% malted barley — aged nine years and six months on a middle floor of Warehouse K, and bottled uncut from that one barrel at 120 proof. Expect the Knob Creek Single Barrel profile — brown sugar, caramel, apple, and toffee on the nose, a creamy palate of vanilla, maple, and brown sugar, a long cinnamon-oak-leather finish — with the character the Barrel Boys chose it for; middle-floor barrels tend to balance sweetness and oak. Honest note: the San Diego Barrel Boys are the most active private-barrel club in the county and taste blind against the standard release; this barrel exists only here, and when it's gone, it's gone.
