Taylor 614ce Next Generation Acoustic Electric w/Case
Grand Auditorium clarity with torrefied Sitka warmth, Big Leaf maple response and Claria electronics
Overview
The Taylor 614ce Next Generation Acoustic Electric Guitar is a versatile Grand Auditorium designed for players who want a clear, dynamic and highly responsive acoustic voice. Its torrefied Sitka spruce top adds projection, clarity and a touch of aged-in warmth, while Big Leaf maple back and sides create an expressive, player-reflective tone that responds closely to your individual touch. With Scalloped V-Class bracing, Taylor’s Action Control Neck, Claria electronics and a deluxe hardshell case, this 614ce is built for modern players who need refined acoustic tone, smooth playability and adaptable amplified performance.
Features
The 614ce’s Grand Auditorium body shape gives it Taylor’s all-purpose acoustic feel, making it comfortable and versatile for fingerstyle, strumming, recording and live performance. The torrefied Sitka spruce top brings the clarity and projection players expect from spruce, with added warmth and sweetness that give the guitar a more played-in response right away.
Big Leaf maple back and sides make this model especially responsive to the player. Rather than imposing a heavy tonal colour, maple reflects your playing style with clarity, balance and articulation, making the 614ce a strong choice for nuanced players, studio work and musicians who want their attack and dynamics to come through clearly.
The Next Generation design adds meaningful performance upgrades. Scalloped V-Class bracing improves volume, sustain and open-string richness, while the Action Control Neck offers precise microadjustability for dialing in string height and feel. The Claria Acoustic Pickup System provides intuitive soundhole-mounted controls for clear, adaptable amplified tone in live settings. Visual details include Wings fretboard inlays in green abalone, faux-tortoiseshell binding with a matching pickguard and a gloss finish treatment. A deluxe hardshell case is included for proper protection.
