3-LAYER ENAMEL COATING: Lava cast iron grill pan has been coated with 3 layers of enamel with 3 stages of firing technique. Primer layer protects the product against corrosion, gives resistance to high temperatures and thermal shock, the 2nd layer enamel gives high scratch and wear resistance and creates a flavor layer, 3rd layer enamel makes a smooth, attractive surface that is easily cleaned and adds a perfect elegance in presentation. PROTECTIVE GLASS ENAMEL: The cooking surface of this grill pan is glass enamel. Since this enamel shows the properties of glass, it has a transparent color, so the inner surface preserves its original casting color. Glass is a natural and a non-toxic coating that will protect the surface and maintain it for longer periods of time. Not only it makes this cookware versatile and easy to use but also gives a smooth and shiny surface that is both easy to clean and requires no seasoning before use. EASY TO USE: This fry pan has 2 qt. capacity and it weighs 5 pound. It is made of durable enameled cast iron, has a convenient handle with an opposing loop handle for easy handling, high ridges for deep sear marks, sloped sides for better grilling, and 2 pour spouts. It can be used on all kitchen stovetops (except the microwave), and it's oven safe to 500 degrees F. PRESERVES AROMA: Lava grill pan is unique in barbeque style cooking.  It conducts and retains heat for a long time, so searing hearty meats like chicken or steaks is easy. Firstly, high heat of Lava pan seals the surface of meat. This retains the taste, water and all nutritional values of the food sealed. Secondly, only some part of the meat contacts with the pan thanks to the grill drains on surface ensuring that it is easy to separate meat from pan and it forms nice burning marks on meat.  HOW TO CLEAN LAVA ENAMELED CAST IRON: Although Lava enameled cast iron is dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water and a nylon scrub brush is recommended to preserve the cookware's original appearance. Always dry cookware thoroughly and store in a cool, dry place. To remove stubborn baked-on food, boil 2 cups of water and 4 tablespoons of baking soda. Boil for a few minutes, then use a pan scraper to loosen the food
