Thoughtful Gift｜Kraken Attacks California Black Spiced Rum｜ Other Products

Kraken Attacks California is the limited edition made for this state — the black spiced rum in a bottle that puts the sea monster's tentacles around the Golden Gate, released in a run of state-specific labels the brand has done for Texas, Florida, and others. Kraken launched in 2010 from Proximo Spirits, built on a legend of the sea monster said to have dragged a ship of Caribbean rum to the bottom, and it became the best-selling spiced rum in the world after Captain Morgan by leaning into a darker, bolder, less candied style than its rival. The rum inside is the original Kraken Black Spiced: Trinidad-sourced rum, aged in oak and blended with the brand's thirteen-spice recipe — cinnamon, ginger, clove, vanilla, and more — with a deep caramel color, bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) in the signature two-handled bottle with the California artwork. Expect a nose of vanilla, cinnamon, clove, and dark caramel with a hint of coffee, opening into a rich, sweet, boldly spiced palate of molasses, ginger, and baking spice with more heat than most spiced rums at the proof, finishing long and warm. Honest note: this is a sweetened spiced rum built for mixing — the higher proof gives it more backbone than most, but enthusiasts should look elsewhere for a serious base. For a Kraken and Coke, a Dark 'n' Stormy riff, a Kraken Mule, or the collector's shelf for the California label, it's the sea monster, local edition.Buy Kraken Attacks California Black Spiced Rum online with fast shipping right to your door.
