A Considered Find｜Eventide Harmonizer Model H949｜ Other Products

One of our new favourite things, we're really loving what these high quality, late 70s units do to even the simplest of sounds. See below for a quick Instagram demo when the synth tech put this unit through its paces while it was being serviced. It takes a simple beat from an old analogue drum machine and fires it into the space age. 40 years old and it still sounds like it has come from the future. And yes, Tony did immediately buy another so we could keep one in the studio.
We'll add more of our thoughts on these units soon, but if you want a good, concise run-down of what it does then this Eventide Harmonizer H949 page on Vintage Digital is a place to start. You can also find links to the manuals there.
The unit has been fully serviced and set up by James Walker from Synth Repair Services - this takes some time as even when they are not working as they should they can produce some wild effects (including some ear-shredding feedback!)
Condition is very good for its age - the face is looking great with just a few scratches around the power switch; the casing has some rack rash.
Switchable voltage for use anywhere in the world.
Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free prices. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number.
And here is the demo with it shredding the beat from a 70s Teisco R-3A Rhythmer drum machine:
