Model: DIYM236HPW04D06

MRCOOL DIYM236HPW04D06 – 36k 5th Gen DIY Multi-Zone Bundle with Dual 12K & 25ft Line Sets
The MRCOOL DIYM236HPW04D06 bundle delivers balanced two-zone comfort with enough line length to match real-world house layouts. It combines the 36,000 BTU 5th Gen DIY multi-zone condenser (DIY-MULTI5-36HP230D-O) with two 12,000 BTU wall-mount air handlers (DIY-12-HP-WMAH-230D25-O) and two 25 ft pre-charged R-454B Quick-Connect® line sets (DIY25-1438-O).
Each 12K indoor unit can condition up to about 550 sq. ft., making this bundle ideal for two bedrooms, two offices, or a bedroom + living area. The 25 ft line sets give you the flexibility to put the outdoor unit off to the side or around the corner without killing the install.
Because it’s part of the MRCOOL DIY family, everything is built around true DIY installation: the line sets are factory pre-charged with R-454B, fully sealed, and ready to connect—no vacuum pump, no gauges, and no refrigerant handling.

FAQ – MRCOOL DIYM236HPW04D06 36k 5th Gen DIY Multi-Zone Bundle (Dual 12K, 25ft)

1. Can I install this system myself?
Yes. The DIYM236HPW04D06 bundle is designed for DIY installation with pre-charged R-454B Quick-Connect® line sets, so you don’t need a vacuum pump or refrigerant tools.

2. How many zones can the 36k condenser support?
The DIY-MULTI5-36HP230D-O can support up to 5 indoor units. This bundle uses two 12K units, so you can still add up to three more zones later.

3. What size rooms are the 12K air handlers best for?
Each 12K air handler is typically suited for spaces up to about 550 sq. ft., depending on insulation, ceiling height, and climate.

4. What breaker size does this system need?
The condenser is rated for:

Minimum Circuit Ampacity (MCA): 30.5A
Maximum Fuse / Breaker: 35A

Always follow MRCOOL’s installation manual and local electrical codes.

5. How long are the included line sets?
This bundle includes two 25 ft line sets (DIY25-1438-O), each 1/4” × 3/8”, pre-charged with R-454B.

6. Can I extend beyond 25 ft?
Yes. You can extend with MRCOOL DIY coupler kits and additional pre-charged line sets, as long as you stay within the condenser’s maximum total line length and design restrictions.

7. What refrigerant does this system use?
All components in this bundle use R-454B, a next-generation refrigerant with higher efficiency and lower global warming potential than R-410A.

8. Is this system quiet enough for bedrooms?
Yes. The 12K indoor units have Quiet Mode and low sound levels, making them a solid option for bedrooms, nurseries, and home offices.

9. Does this system dehumidify?
Yes. Using DRY MODE, the system focuses on removing humidity while still providing cooling, which is ideal for humid climates.

 10. Can I control each 12K zone separately?
Absolutely. Each 12K air handler has its own remote and WiFi control, so you can set different temperatures and schedules for each room. You just can’t have one on heat and the other on A/C

11. Is smart home integration included?
Yes. The system works with the SmartHVAC® app, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant for voice and app-based control.

12. Is my warranty valid if I buy from MRCOOL Direct?

14. Is this bundle good for two bedrooms or a bedroom + office?
Yes. Dual 12K with 25 ft line sets is a killer layout for two similar-size rooms that both need serious comfort.

15. Do I need an electrician for the condenser power?
If you’re not comfortable with 208/230V electrical work, you should use a licensed electrician to install the breaker, disconnect, and wiring.
