Matchbook Distilling Maillard is a 750ml, 30% ABV limited-edition liqueur from Matchbook Distilling Co. in Greenport, Long Island, created in collaboration with the Culinary Institute of America. It is inspired by the Maillard reaction, the browning chemistry behind bread crust, roasted coffee and toasted granola, with granola as its muse.Four hundred pounds of butter were browned, then fat-washed into a spirit distilled from fermented organic Maine oats, with roasted oats and a touch of brown sugar for depth. The result blends buttery, nutty and caramelized flavors with a rich roasted profile. Only a few hundred bottles were made. Sip it neat, or use it in an Old Fashioned or dessert cocktail.Buy Matchbook Distilling Maillard Liqueur online with fast shipping right to your door.
