Fabulously feminine and sweetly fragrant, Lathyrus odoratus ‘Enchante’ is a vigorous sweet pea vine with endless sprays of soft bicolor blooms from spring into summer. Buds open in pale pink and lilac on a white background, becoming more saturated as they mature for a romantic, watercolor effect on the vine and in bouquets. Also known as Enchante Sweet Pea, this annual climbing vine reaches about 6' tall and 2' wide, making it perfect for trellises, fences, obelisks, arbors, cutting gardens, and cottage garden plantings. The more blooms you remove, the more flowers this robust plant produces, so keep cutting armloads for fresh, fragrant arrangements. Butterflies are drawn to the nectar-rich flowers, adding even more life to the display.Plant Lathyrus odoratus ‘Enchante’ in full sun to light afternoon shade with rich garden soil, regular compost, average water, and sturdy support. For color and fragrance, this sweet pea is hard to top. Explore more fragrant climbers in our Lathyrus - Sweet Pea collection.
