Green Spot Château Montelena Irish Whiskey is the second release in the Wine Geese series, a collaboration between Green Spot and Napa Valley's Château Montelena, the winery made famous by the 1976 Judgment of Paris and founded by a family of Irish descent. Green Spot's single pot still whiskey from Midleton Distillery is finished for twelve months in French oak casks that held Montelena Zinfandel, and bottled at 46% ABV.The Zinfandel casks add ripe red and black fruit, a touch of pepper and a wine-like richness to Green Spot's signature profile of orchard fruit, honey and pot still spice. The palate is full and silky, and the finish is long with fruit and oak trading places. Drink it neat. This 750ml bottle is a favorite with California wine drinkers and a distinctive edition of one of Ireland's classic whiskeys.
