Your Music, RebornMimesis Excellence Digital / Analogue preamplifier is designed for audiophiles seeking the pinnacle of sound quality, combining cutting-edge technology with Goldmund’s renowned craftsmanship.
Feel the PerfectionAt the heart of the Mimesis Excellence is the new Themis audio board, a significant advancement in the HiFi space. Each audio channel—left and right—has its own dedicated audio card, allowing them to process sound independently. This separation minimises noise, keeping the audio signal clean and clear. Each channel is also equipped with a state-of-the-art Digital-to-Analogue Converter (DAC) and volume control, ensuring the purest sound and handling a wide range of volumes—from the lowest to the highest decibels—without distortion.
Experience the MagicThe Themis audio board features innovative blocked mechanical shielding to block unwanted electromagnetic emissions that could cause sound distortion. It includes a newly designed, highly precise volume controller, further elevating the audio experience. Designed to be modular, Themis offers easy maintenance due to its independent functionality from other card components, enhancing overall performance and reliability.
Discover the BrillianceThe preamplifier also incorporates a new customised DAC, absent in its predecessor, with exceptional performance in terms of noise and distortion, capable of decoding up to DSD 512. The fully customised clock generation system ensures the lowest possible jitter in digital signal transmission, and a new shielding mechanism for the audio boards further enhances sound quality.
Unleashing Pure AudioThe Mimesis Excellence features fully separated left and right digital and analogue power supplies, including customised high-end transformers. The power is regulated in two stages for maximum stability, and a new power management system refines the preamplifier’s operation.
Dive into a Symphony of Pure SoundIn simple terms, a digital/analogue preamplifier fine-tunes and boosts the audio signals from various sources before they reach your passive speakers. The Mimesis Excellence excels in this role, delivering top-notch sound quality. With a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of over 130 dB and a frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz (+/- 0 dB), extending to an astonishing 530 kHz (+/- 3 dB), this preamplifier captures the full spectrum of audio and ensures your listening experience is free from unwanted noise. The total harmonic distortion (THD) is impressively low, keeping the sound clear and true to the original recording.
Elegance Meets SimplicityThe Mimesis Excellence is available in Goldmund’s signature grey and an elegant matte black finish. Customers are encouraged to contact their local dealer, as availability, pricing, and lead times may vary per finish. The side panels showcase the distinctive wave design that is aesthetically coherent with the rest of the new Goldmund collection, ensuring visual harmony. The preamplifier features intuitive front panel controls for volume, balance, and other functions, providing a user-friendly interface.
