A Fresh Detail｜Salvia purpurea - Lavender Lace｜ Other Products

The very definition of showy, Salvia ‘Lavender Lace’ brings astoundingly full, dangling panicles of purple blooms to the garden with tropical-looking flair. Rich, elongated flowers hang in 6–10" clusters against lush green foliage, creating a dramatic display for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage plantings, and large containers.

This ornamental sage is a hummingbird favorite, and its long, pendulous flower clusters add movement and color for an extended season. Also known as purple salvia or flowering sage, ‘Lavender Lace’ pairs beautifully with grasses, dahlias, abutilons, heucheras, yarrow, and warm-toned annuals. Use it where its unusual bloom form can be admired up close, or let it add lush height to the back of a sunny bed.

Plant Salvia ‘Lavender Lace’ in full sun to part shade with rich, well-drained soil and regular water for best bloom. Trim lightly as needed to shape and encourage fresh growth. Bold, pollinator-friendly, and wonderfully dramatic, this is a sage with serious garden presence. Explore more favorites in our Salvia - Sage collection.
