This item is a preorder with an expected shipping date of January 2026.
The skull of a Balrog is an exceptionally rare specimen; due to the creature's transient nature - composed of shadow and flame - powerful and complex arcane methods were employed to achieve calcification of its remains. This preservation presents an invaluable opportunity to study the ancient origins and dark power that define this formidable being.Massive in scale, the skull of this Balrog displays elongated, curving horns reminiscent of a goat's, which appear to fuse seamlessly with the frontal bone to form a protective, armor-like carapace. The supporting bone structure is distinguished by a network of ridges with minimal flat surfaces, indicative of a creature developed to endure intense heat and pressure. This specimen also possesses multiple sets of fanged outer dentition, complemented by dense rows of large molars, indicating a specialized design for both piercing and grinding. The robust jaw structure points to an immense biting force, maximizing its destructive potential. Each anatomical feature reveals a creature shaped for dominance, resilience, and a primordial bond with fire. Made of polystone, The Lord of the Rings Skull of a Balrog Miniature Statue measures approximately 8-inches tall. Each Miniature Skull, a compact yet detailed artifact, offers a profound glimpse into the anatomy of Middle-earth. The obsidian-like stand makes this skull feel like an artifact straight out of Saruman's study. Enhance your collection with this unique curation and examine this creature like never before!Weta Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
